Erin and I have recently moved houses, so beforehand I took the opportunity to use up some of my stash. Every empties post I have ever done on this blog has included Bioderma Sensibo H20 Micellar Water. It is something I always have on hand and will repurchase ahead of time to make sure I'm ne er without it. It is great for cleaning up eyeshadow, or on the end of a q-tip to make the perfect winged liner. For a more in-depth review see my last empties post here.
With work I tend to sanitize my hands a lot and it can be drying, so I go through moisturizers quickly. This summer I finished the Cath Kidston Hand Cream in Lime and Mint. This cream had a lovely scent and was nice and fresh. The formulation was thick but still managed to absorb into the hands quickly. The other cream I used afterwards by Crabtree & Evelyn Ultra Moisturising Hand Therapy in Tarocco Orange had a much different formulation. The smell of this cream is simply magical – it is by far my favourite scent but I do wish the formulation was a bit better. I find that this cream is a bit oily and sits on the skin for 10 minutes before it's completely absorbed. This makes it better as a night cream to put on before bed.
I also finished up a face moisturizer – The Body Shop Aloe Soothing Day Cream. This cream would be amazing for someone with very sensitive skin. It is completely fragrance-free with a very smooth formula. The day cream is moisturizing and fast absorbing. It is really easy to use in the mornings as it absorbed into the skin very quickly, so you can apply makeup in moments. With this cream I found it did the job well but nothing exceptional. There are other moisturizers out there like the Antipodes Vanilla Pod Day Cream that are in my opinion better as they not only add hydration but radiance to the skin.
