Haul | IMATS Toronto 2015

Here is everything that we picked up at IMATS Toronto last weekend! There were lots of great brands that we hadn't tried before, plus discounts to sweeten the deal.

MAC 263 Small Angle Brush
 – I picked up a new angled brush because my old one has started to fray. I like using this brush when I apply black eye shadow as liner. It is super easy to make a perfect flick with this brush.
MAC 129 Powder/Blush Brush – This brush was actually a present for my mom – she doesn't have a nice blush brush so I wanted to pick her up a new one for her collection.
MAC Crème Cup Lipstick – The formula is Cremesheen. This lipstick is a great everyday shade. I usually go crazy at MAC and get shades that are not something I can wear every day – bright pink, red, you name it. So this time I wanted pick up a shade that I would really be able to use often.
MAC Boldly Bare Lip Pencil – I never really invest in nude liners but I really wanted something I could put on at the beginning of the day and wear it all day at work.
Embryolisse Lait-Crème Concentré – For this 1oz size, we paid $16 and it's regularly sold for $20 on Sephora. I have heard great things about this moisturizer. With the winter and cold dry weather approaching I wanted to make sure had something nice and nourishing on hand.
Hakuhodo BJ110 Blush Brush Round & Flat – I have used this brush a couple of times already...and it's magical. It is so soft and really blends well into the skin. I also like that it doesn't apply to much product. I have totally been convinced of the hype surrounding the Hakuhodo brushes and will be saving for another one soon. I also picked up the Hakuhodo BJ142 Eyeshadow Brush Round – and haven't had the chance to test it out yet, but if it is anything like the blush brush I have high hopes.

Brushes are one of my favourite makeup items to shop for and use. I didn't have anything quite like the MAC 219 Pencil Brush and the discount swayed me! This pencil brush is very dense, small and tapered so perfect for blending out the lower lashline, and other precise duties. I also picked up the Hakuhodo J210 Blush Brush Round and Hakuhodo J5533 Eyeshadow Brush Tapered, and the quality of the Hakuhodo brushes is just out of this world! Another well-known brand at IMATS was Sigma and I couldn't help but buy the Sigma F82 Precision Round Brush and Sigma F35 Tapered Highlighter Brush. Take a closer look on our Instagram.
MAC Subculture Lip Pencil – I've really gotten into lipliner lately and this light pink-toned neutral one will be a great addition. Although I love the Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk, I like that this one is a bit lighter.
MAC Stone Lip Pencil – You'll be seeing more of this very soon...
MAC Prep + Prime Fix+ – I used this a couple of years ago and wanted to come back to it. Right now I'm using a setting spray from Clarins and although I like the delicate rose scent, I don't find it's great value for money.
Embryolisse Lait-Crème Concentré – Like Katherine I have heard fantastic things about this cream and am saving it for the cold Canadian winter.
Viseart Neutral Matte Eyeshadow Palette – This is a professional brand manufactured in France. After just swatching this I was very impressed with how pigmented and smooth the shades are, with not as much fallout as something like the Kat Von D palette that might be comparable.
I don't wear false lashes as much as I'd like to, honestly, because I adore the look. Hopefully picking up these beautiful lashes from Esqido will change that. I bought the sets called Unforgettable and Lashmopolitian. Online these sell for $32 each, but I paid $25 and received a free Companion eyelash glue. I'll keep you updated, because apparently they you can wear these up to 25 times!

Have you tried any of these products?
