Less Than Impressed

Singing a different tune today and doing some rapid fire reviews on products that I won't be repurchasing. As always these products may work for you, it's just personal preference! I couldn't even bother finishing several but decided that it's not wasteful to let go of things that aren't helping my skin.

Aveeno Positively Radiant Brightening Cleanser – I love and will never stop loving the Aveeno body lotion. In the past year or so I've taken my skincare routine very seriously and took a closer look at everything that I use. This cleanser sat unused because my dry skin doesn't tolerate foaming cleansers. I didn't notice any brightening effects but this takes makeup off just fine. If you have oily skin or wear heavy foundation most days than this might be a good choice for you.

Olay Age Defying Instant Hydration Serum – This is definitely better as a primer than a serum. It was very smoothing on the skin but I'm pretty averse to the silicon-heavy slippery primers.

Nip+Fab Moisture Fix Facial Moisturizer – I couldn't find this product on the Nip+Fab website, which makes me wonder if it's been discontinued. Good riddance. I hated the smell and it irritated my skin rather than leaving it soothed.

Burt's Bees Intense Hydration Cream Cleanser
 – Although this only contains natural fragrance I found the scent really strong (it's 99.0% natural, and you know I love my foot cream from Burt's Bees). This cream cleanser was just okay in my mind, because it didn't have enough oomph to remove makeup nor did it leave my face as soft as I'd expect.

La Roche Posay Physiological Deodorant I actually liked this deodorant because of the fresh, clean scent. However I really dislike deodorants that run the risk of leaving white marks on your clothes, and as you saw from my latest fashion favourites post I wear a lot of black. I do appreciate that this is aluminum and alcohol free but I think there are better, clear deodorants available.

Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Hand Cream – This featured in my last disappointing products post and  I could not wait to see the end of this. I was only able to finish this because I repurposed it as a foot cream (and since I've found a new favourite that smells amazing).

Marc Anthony Curl Envy Styling Cream – I think this would be a lot more suitable for girls with tighter curls. Running this through damp hair did give some hold to my curls but if I used more than a nickel-sized amount my hair would be slightly stiff and sticky.

Nexxus Hydra-Light Root Mist – This product is great when I used a blow  dryer to do my hair, but usually I let my hair air dry. The second listed ingredient is alcohol and I did notice that my hair would feel slightly dry and less touchable. This does give volume without weighing down the roots.
