These are my favourite lip products for that "my lips but better" look – we're not talking nude lipstick here, but rather shades that softly enhance your pout with ultra-natural colour and a smooth, hydrated finish.
Katherine and I are both fans of lip crayons in general but especially the Clinique chubby sticks that were such an innovation a few years ago. The Clinique Chubby Stick Intense Moisturizing Lip Colour Balm in 01 Curviest Caramel has an extra dose of colour with the same hydrating formula, courtesy of mango and shea butters.
MAC Syrup Lipstick is quite new to me but I adore the pinky plum colour. The lustre formula means it's sheer with a fair amount of shine. This really enhances lips without being too bright and looks really pretty with purple makeup.
Rimmel Lipstick in 070 Airy Fairy is a beautiful light pink colour that's a nude on me but would be a great MLBB shade for those of you with lighter coloured lips. The formula is slightly less forgiving than the other 3 so make sure your lips are smooth.
Ever since Lisa Eldridge used it in her Rosie Huntington-Whiteley tutorial, the Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter in Pink Truffle has been one of my favourites. You can easily build up the colour to deepen your lips' neutral tones.
The Clarins Instant Light Natural Balm Perfector in 01 Rosewood should have made this list but it's taken up full-time residence in my purse and was forgotten. It's still one of my go-to's after mentioning it my top lip colours for spring post.
