Organic Pai Skincare | Haul

I recently picked up the Pai Skincare starter kit that comes with the Camellia & Rose Gentle Hydrating Cleanser, Camomile and Rosehip Calming Day Cream and the Lotus and Orange Blossom BioAffinity Skin Tonic. I already love the rosehip oil by Pai so I had high hopes for these other products.

I have tested them out a couple of times and here are my first impressions. The Camellia & Rose cleanser is a very gentle cleanser that takes off foundation quite well. However it didn't take off my eye makeup. I would recommend using an oil cleanser to take off your makeup first and then cleanse with this as your second step. For those girls that only like one steps in their cleansing routine then this would not be the cleanser for you. It didn't bother my eyes, which is great, and contains some really great ingredient like Vitamins A, B and E that help to replenish your skin's moisture barrier. I did enjoy using this cleanser but it is not ideal for travelling. I would give it 3.5/5 stars.

The Camomile and Rosehip Day Cream comes in a pump dispenser. I really appreciate the packaging because it doesn't allow the ingredient to oxidize like when you buy a moisturizer in a pot. This helps everything stay fresher and therefore more effective for longer. This product does have a scent — it really smells like camomile, it's not a bad smell but maybe not my favourite.  The camomile does really help with redness and I can notice a difference around my nose area. I liked the texture of the cream and my makeup went on nice and smoothly afterwards.

The star of this kit has to be the Lotus and Orange Blossom Skin Tonic. I was not expecting to like this product as much as I do. It is a nice fine mist and sinks into the skin quite quickly. The scent of this product is amazing and since I got the travel size it's perfect for your handbag. I love that this tonic doesn't have any alcohol so it's really nice and hydrating for your skin. The tonic helps to restore the pH of your skin and is also meant to reduce redness. If I was to purchase the full size of any of these products it would definitely be the tonic. I think this is a great substitution for the Caudalie Beauty Elixir.
