Erin's May Favourites

I honestly cannot believe that it's already June! Here are some beauty products that stood out in the blur that was May.

Oh boy, I am in love with the NUXE Huile Prodigieuse. I tried a sample ages ago and ever since it has been a favourite body oil. It's a dry oil that leaves the skin super soft but not at all greasy. My favourite part is the sillage — fancy word for the scent trail that follows. I am dying to get my hands on the perfume which purportedly smells the same. It's a lovely fragrance with notes of orange, bergamot, gardenia, vanilla, and coconut milk — making it the perfect scent for warm weather. The golden shimmer version was featured in #MyCultBox.

Oddly enough, the Shiseido White Lucent Total Brightening Serum was an impulse buy (oops). I have seen results since starting to use this. Earlier this year I struggled with blemishes and while I found some products that tackled it, I was left with some discolouration and generally dull skin. This serum has not only evened out pigmentation but it actually hydrates so well that one day I forgot to apply moisturizer! This is absolutely unheard of for me with my dry skin!

Mousse does not have to be synonymous with stiff/crunchy/greasy hair. I work the John Frieda Luxurious Volume Mousse through damp hair from roots to ends, and let my hair air dry. It gives my hair more volume without looking like I have any product in it. The scent doesn't last, which is a plus because I don't like when products compete with my perfume.

The Bobbi Brown eyeshadow in Toast is a very warm brown shadow that is perfect for the crease. I find it most flattering when I have a bit of colour, whether from the sun or sunless tanning. It's lighter than MAC's Uninterrupted.

A big favourite is the Bobbi Brown Bronzer Brush, which really is perfectly made for applying bronzer but it also works to blend your entire face makeup so you don't walk out with stripes of colour.

What are you loving right now?
