Current Drugstore Favourites

The Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter in Berry Smoothie has been a long-time favourite but I set it aside for other favourites. I've nearly finished it, which goes to show how often I wear this! The shade is the perfect "my lips but better" colour for me — a pink berry shade with a soft sheen. I'll definitely repurchase this since I want to always have this in my purse.

Brushes can sit unused if you're not sure what to use them for. I think anyone who wears makeup would benefit from having the Real Techniques Domed Shadow Brush — it's good for so many things. Use it to apply and blend out concealer, cream or powder eyeshadow, or highlighter... or precisely stripe on your cream contour if you commit to contouring.

The Sonia Kashuk Crème Blush in 01 Petal really should have been included in my top blushes for spring post. This blush lasts all day on me, but if you have very oily skin you'll want to set these with a powder blush on top. Petal is a lovely cool-toned pink shade but there are some other fantastic colours in the line as well, and I appreciate that none have glitter.

A new standout is the L'Oréal Infallible Pro-Matte Foundation. It was so difficult to pick a shade because the labels aren't representative of the actual shade. Shade 104 was totally wrong for me but after searching online for swatches I now wear 102 Shell Beige. Despite all that, I definitely see myself wearing it a lot this summer because the demi-matte finish will hold up in the heat. It gives medium coverage and a small amount goes far. I like to blend it in with a Beauty Blender because the consistency is thicker than other foundations I wear. It doesn't crease, even under my eyes or if I wear a bit more around my nose.
