I was so impressed by Caroline Hirons' latest collaboration with Cult Beauty. The blogger at Hidden Harmony World created her own Cult Beauty box with a theme of Global Beauty (see it here via her Instagram). While I decided to save my pennies and didn't purchase the Hirons beauty box (which my bank balance is thanking me for), I didn't want to be left out of the fun so I decided to dream up my own themed beauty box of Cult Beauty products.

Since I haven't tried enough Cult Beauty products to build a complete theme around, this post is wishlist-style! I did include a few of my favourites that I hands down recommend, too.

Since not all of us have the time or money to get away this summer, my theme is Faking a Beach HolidayI chose 8 products, all from different high-end brands.

Being on the beach inevitably leads to a full body exfoliation from lying on the sand. Replicate that at home with the Elemis Exotic Lime & Ginger scrub.

Save your skin from from sun damage and safely fake it 'til you make it with the ultra-luxe Omorovicza Glam Glow self tanner.

Use the NUXE Huile Prodigeuse OR to add a soft sheen to your limbs and décolleté to look ultra hydrated and boost the tan. I love the original NUXE oil and the addition of golden shimmer makes it all the more beach appropriate.

Apart from time under the sun, for me a beach holiday means relaxation. Although most of us don't have the luxury of lounging unless we are on holiday, the Mizon Returning Starfish Bio Mask achieves that well-rested look by plumping up the skin.  My box would also include the Caudalie Beauty Elixir, which I love using to refresh the skin. Close your eyes and inhale the scent to be transported to a spa.

On to the makeup! Healthy and glowy rules here, starting off with a light dusting of the Kevyn Aucoin The Matte Bronzing Veil to deepen your tan. I recommend going a bit heavy-handed with the Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector — use it on cheekbones, browbone and the inner corner of the eyes. It's not glittery but just adds a healthy gleam to the skin. Finally, the RMS Lip2Cheek multitasks to add a pop of colour to the cheeks and lips. Skip mascara, eyeliner and the rest of it for a naturally beautiful look.

Cult Beauty is based in the UK but right now there is free worldwide shipping with the code DELIVERFREE if you feel like trying any of these products. Otherwise use your own comparable beauty products to fake a beach holiday this weekend!

What do you think of #mycultbox? What would be in your box?
