Lip Colours for Spring

All of these lip colours are very low maintenance (no mirror required) – exactly what I want to be wearing in the spring. It's all about looking effortless and fresh!

First off, I have to share my love for the new Clarins Instant Light Lip Balm Perfectors. I have the shade 06 Rosewood, a soft nude. For those of you who hate lip glosses check these out because they also give a shiny and hydrated finish to the lips (although I personally love the original lip perfector glosses, too). All of the shades are perfect for spring – the coral has caught my eye.

The Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter in 080 Strawberry Shortcake is such a pretty light pink. Although bright, the shade looks natural because it isn't too cool-toned. I absolutely love the formula of these lip butters and probably won't ever stop talking about them. (I'm also big fans of the shades Berry Smoothie and Pink Truffle.)

Two lip glosses to try: the glo minerals gloss in Peony and the Buxom Full-On Lip Polish in Creamsicle. I love both – honestly the shades are very similar – but if you dislike sticky glosses then steer clear of the Buxom one (much less sticky than a MAC lipglass but still tacky). On the other hand, Peony is really smooth and cushiony.

Playful, the "purple rose" glamazon pure performance lipstick by tarte, is definitely a special colour. This lipstick is a great way to dip your toes into wearing purple makeup. I also want to point out that tarte cosmetics is a vegan and cruelty free brand. Check out the independently verified list of other brands that follow those standards on Logical Harmony.

That wraps up my six favourite lip picks for spring. Why not check out my spring picks for nail polish and blush too? I really love that this spring series forced inspired me to shake up my makeup routine!
