HAUL | Sonia Kashuk & Pixi

With the nice warm weather finally here it's time to trade in those vampy lips for some bright pinks and reds.

These are a few of the bits I picked up when Target was closing in Canada. Sonia Kashuk and Pixi Beauty are two brands that we won't have access to anymore now that the store has closed.  (Moment of sadness.) To make matters worse, most of the old Target locations are being replaced by Walmart. Do we really need more of those?

Back to the fun bits I picked up. I grabbed some great moisturizing lip balms from Pixi. I have used them a couple of times and both the Tinted Brilliance Balm in 9 Orchid Petal and the Succulent Lip Twin in Poppy Red are quite sheer. They are nice and moisturizing and have good buildable coverage. You can bump up the pigmentation of the Succulent Lip Twin and create a nice bright red lip after work and head out for some cocktails. The pink balm is packaged in a crayon form which is something I love. I find it super easy to apply and you can use it on the go without needing a mirror.

The Succulent Lip Twin by Pixi and the Dewy Luxe Lip and Cheek Balm in 01 Enchanted by Sonia Kashuk are both two in one products. You are meant to be able to use them both as blusher and a lip balm. I have tested both of them out and they do both work well on the check and lips. I however think on the lips the Pixi formula is a bit better and easier to apply. The Sonia Kashuk is less moisturizing so make sure you have lip balm applied underneath. These would both be great travel bag products so you can keep your makeup bag a bit lighter.

From the bottom to the top: Tinted Brilliance Balm in 9 Orchid Petal, Dewy Luxe Lip and Check Balm in 01 Enchanted, Succulent Lip Twin in Poppy Red, Lid and Line in Smokey Mink No 5
The other two products I picked up were the Sonia Kashuk Hidden Agenda Concerler Palette in Medium and the Pixi Lid and Line in Smokey Mink No 5. The concealer is a great idea but I did find the formula a bit heavy for under the eyes. It works super well at covering blemishes. I love that it comes with different shades so that you can mix to create the perfect match for you. The Pixi eye liner is another great travel product. It is an eye shadow, eyeliner and smudger all in one. Overall I'm super happy with my purchases, and delighted that spring has sprung.

Have you picked up any new beauty bits lately?
