New In | Clarins, YSL & Maybelline

No impulse buys here, which explains why I love all four of these products.

I'm still looking for the perfect foundation that will work on my dry skin to give a smooth and even finish yet can be sheered out. Tall order? Perhaps.

The Clarins Skin Illusion Natural Radiance Foundation SPF 10 is the lesser of the the two because it's overly fragranced which I worry will aggravate my sensitive skin if I use it daily. Take a look at this if you want a natural finish fragrance and don't mind fragrance. On the other hand, I can't get enough of the Maybelline Dream Wonder Foundation! It is the perfect colour match for me! It blends amazingly, and leaves an impossibly smooth finish that doesn't settle on dry patches or in fine lines! I'm using as many exclamation marks as possible because I feel that strongly!

I prefer a hands-off lip - no touch ups required - and the YSL Rouge Pur Couture Glossy Stain  delivers. Katherine is a huge fan of these and she helped me select 106 Beige Anarchist from the Rebel Nudes collection. This leaves a shimmery, glossy finish that enhances my natural lip shade and the colour lasted all night. I've got my eye on the bolder shades next...

I really like the all-inclusive magic of pen eyeliners after falling in love with the Pixi Lash Line Ink (which I hauled here). If you're looking for a cheaper option, the Maybelline Line Stiletto Ultimate Precision Liquid Eyeliner is great. I still prefer the Pixi liner - it creates a more precise flick - but Maybelline is readily available and cheaper!
