Erin's January Favourites

I cannot deny my love for the Bobbi Brown Sheer Powder Brush, which again demanded a top spot (after also appearing in my December Favourites). Although I continue to love all my favourites from previous months, I use this brush every time I apply makeup to gently set my foundation without moving it all over the place. I'm afraid to admit I'm almost collecting the set at this point...

The KIKO Vibrant Eye Pencil in 601 Golden Beige was one of my finds when I came across the KIKO stores while in Spain. It's creamy and gold without being glittery. It looks amazing blended at the inner corner of the eye, all over the lid or just above the lashline. If KIKO is accessible to you track this one down!

The Dr. Perricone No Foundation Foundation (in Fair to Light) may be the ultimate dewy, lightweight base. This has very minimal - in truth, translucent - coverage, so it's not for everyone. I've been pairing it with a lightweight concealer, such as the RMS "un" cover-up (read my review here). This foundation is marketed as a "treatment foundation" with skincare goodies such as AHA acid, stabilized vitamin C and mineral actives (zinc oxide and titanium dioxide). I appreciate that it offers broad spectrum sun protection. However, I take issue with the inclusion of fragrance, which can be irritating to sensitive skins, and the total lack of shades for anyone outside of the fair to medium range.

I'd heard great things about the Klorane Dry Shampoo, and I chose the gentle formula with oat milk. Although pricier than Batiste, the Klorane dry shampoo revives my hair and leaves a lighter, less powdery scent. It's gentle on the hair as it's formulated without silicones, sulfates or sodium chloride.

Benefit's Posietint has quickly replaced the original Benetint in my day-to-day makeup routine. I apply two streaks of this creamy, pale pink liquid to my cheeks. I love that I always have enough time to blend it in with my fingers or the e.l.f Studio Small Stipple Brush. Unlike Benetint, however, I don't use this on the lips because I find it doesn't sink in properly. The pink colour adds a great punch of natural-looking colour.
