Katherine's Favourite Hand Creams

The temperatures in Canada are crazy cold at the moment. When I leave for work in the mornings most days it is a least -15°C outside. With that in mind, I wanted to share my top 3 favourite hand creams to get us through the harsh winter months. I picked 3 because I like them all for different purposes. Let's start from left to right in the picture.

The first one is the High-Nutrition Hand Cream with Natural Cold Cream from Bio Beauté by Nuxe. I love that this cream is made with all natural and organic ingredients. It makes me think of long-term results as opposed to it being a temporary fix for dry skin. It has an almond smell but I would definitely say it's mild and not overly scented. It goes on smooth and isn't oily at all. This the cream I like to use at work. It works well if you wants quickly pop it on and then hop right back onto the computer without slipping all around the keyboard. It absorbs into the skin fast but you can still notice a difference after using it. This is my "I need some hand cream now, but I'm in a hurry and need it to absorb super quickly" cream.

The second one in the image is the L'Occitance Pivoine Flora Hand Cream in the travel size. This would be the most luxurious of the three creams. The smell is absolutely amazing and it glides onto the skin very smoothly. The cream is made with shea butter and smells like a garden of peonies. It does not sink into the skin as quickly as the one by Bio Beauté and leaves a silky feeling on your hands for around 30-50 seconds. I use this while I'm on the subway or out for the day shopping. The result is super soft and amazing smelling hands.  I keep this one in my purse because the size is perfect for traveling.

The third cream is Hand Food by Soap & Glory. We now have this brand in Canada which is amazing but I wish more of the makeup products would come over as well. The smell of this cream is fantastic and it is a close dupe for Chanel products. I keep this right beside my bed and apply it before I go to sleep. This cream contains shea butter, macadamia oil and strangely enough, marshmallow. The Hand Food absorbs into the skin well and doesn't leave a film on your hands. It is a great step in your night time routine to relax.
