Review | RMS Beauty

I've mentioned wanting to try the RMS Beauty line time and time again. It's been brought up many times on one of my favourite beauty sites, Into the Gloss. So it's fair to say that I had incredibly high hopes before purchasing these two products, the RMS Living Luminizer and RMS "un" cover-up.

I couldn't wait to get my hands on the RMS Living Luminizer. The subtle natural finish is what makes this product stand out and I understand why so many love it for that "no makeup" makeup look. It's a sheer base that gives a dewy pearl finish without being silver, gold or rose gold like other highlighters. I've found that it's best to apply this with fingers to soften the coconut oil base to blend it into the skin.

I chose the RMS "un" cover-up in shade 11, which is the second lightest shade with a soft yellow tone. This works great alone on good skin days when I just want to cover under my eyes, around my nose, and on any blemishes. The concealer blended out evenly to give medium coverage, and gave a semi-matte finish that I don't have to set with powder.

I have dry skin and neither product clung to dry patches. While I wouldn't categorize these as skincare despite claims that they "moisturize and heal", the RMS products didn't aggravate my skin or make me break out - but coconut oil may cause problems for you. I've left swatches to the pros this time, so check those out on Temptalia's site for the luminizer and concealer

Also, both products are certified organic. Yay! We'll be doing a post on our favourite natural skincare and cosmetics so keep an eye out for that soon.

Have you tried anything from RMS Beauty?
