Winter Nail Routine

Winter is finally here and I am going to embrace it. Here is my current routine to get glossy nails that last!

The first thing I like to do is use a base coast, and the Orly Rubberized Basecoat is great. This not only helps your nail polish to last longer but it also forms a protective layer between your nail and the coloured polish. This will help to keep your nail healthy and prevent it from turning yellow.

I play with colour quite a lot and here I've chosen to feature Bordeaux by Essie. This shade can easily be worn with both day and night time looks. Not to mention it would be perfect for any Christmas party plans you might have lined up.

The final product I typically use is a topcoat. By mistake one day I grab the Sally Hansen Insta-Dry nail polish in clear. I thought this was a topcoat but turns out it isn't. It was a great mistake though because I find that it gives the most wonderful and glossy finish to your manicure. I would definitely recommend giving this a try next time instead of something like Seche Vite.
