Orange Lip Trend

Korres Lip Butter in Mango and the KIKO lipstick in 905 are both balmy options that are forgiving on the lips (meaning you don’t need to do a lip scrub before wearing these). The KIKO lipstick leans more like a coral.

Wet n Wild lipstick in 969 24 Carrot Gold, on the other hand, needs smooth lips because it is more matte and very opaque. This topped my KIKO matte orange lipstick option that I mentioned here, because of its true orange colour and more even formula. These Wet n Wild lipsticks are great for the price, but I do find the colours in the range to be one-dimensional and I feel 24 Carrot Gold looks best under a lipgloss.

Speaking of glosses... Maybelline Colour Elixir in 015 Mandarin Rapture is actually much more than that, as it’s marketed as a lipgloss/lipstick/lip balm hybrid. I really enjoy these Colour Elixir but I have to warn you: do not apply thick layers because this product will “ball up” on itself. Gross. Aside from all that, this colour is the brightest orange option I’ve included here and looks beautiful worn alone or over any coral or orange lipstick.

Will you be wearing the orange lip trend this spring?
