Not surprisingly, I was excited to try out some of the new drugstore options for lips. From left to right: Maybelline Colour Elixir in 065 Caramel Infusion, Revlon Super Lustrous Crème Lipstick in Rose Velvet, Rimmel Lasting Finish Colour Rush Balm in 710 Drive Me Nude, Rimmel Balm in 200 Keep Mauving, and last but not least, a Revlon Matte Balm Stain in Shameless. These lip products are mostly nudes with one stunning and bold exception! You can expect to see reviews on these in the near future, but for now know this - the Rimmel balms smell amazing! Like vanilla.
I'm really happy finding great brushes to add to my brush set, and the Sonia Kashuk No. 17 multipurpose powder brush and No. 110 synthetic concealer brush made the cut. I already plan on using the synthetic brush with cream eyeshadows like the Maybelline Color Tattoo in Bad to the Bronze (my first one I had to replace since the lid cracked and it dried out).
Two more eyeshadows: Nars Galapagos and L'Oréal Color Infallible in Sahara Treasure. I love that these are neutral eyeshadows that still pack a punch with shimmer or glitter.
Briefly, here's the lowdown on the rest of the haul...
I wanted to pick up a drugstore foundation in a lighter shade and came away with two - Revlon Nearly Naked in 120 Vanilla and Wet n Wild Coverall Cream Foundation 815 Fair. I also had to replace my Anastasia Brow Wiz in Ash Blonde that walked away :(
As well, I picked up the NARS blush in Sin which is a blush that I always look at whenever I go into Sephora... swatch and pass it over. I was worried about the shimmer in this but if you own NARS Orgasm you know that this type of shimmer isn't over the top when it's actually on the face.
Here's a closer look at NARS Sin and Galapagos.
Finally, I picked up the Clear Scalp & Hair Intense Hydration hair mask. I haven't tried this yet but I always love testing new drugstore hair masks out to help manage and smooth my hair.
