Haul | L'Oréal, Sonia Kashuk, NYX & More

Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer has been raved about across the beauty world, especially by the always lovely Tanya Burr (link). I had previously hesitated picking this up due to the very small shimmer in the product. So far, I love this concealer - it's a good colour match and creamy enough to wear under my eyes. Have you tried the matching Wake Me Up foundation?

Maybelline Dr. Rescue Baby Lips Lip Balm may not be for everyone. If you aren't a fan of menthol, steer clear. Still, the scent only lasts for a few minutes and I really like the light pink colour of this shade.

Sonia Kashuk Cream Blush is a wonderful, creamy and bright blush. I want to pick up a new duo fibre blush brush (Real Techniques makes one), but otherwise just using your fingers is easy too.

L'Oréal Voluminous Original Mascara is a good stand-by mascara, although I recommend wiping some of the mascara off before you apply. I slightly prefer the Carbon Black mascara.

L'Oréal True Match Lumi Foundation is one of those foundations that looks even better after a few hours of wear. The luminosity of this foundation enhances your own skin's radiance without any shimmer or super dewiness. Difficult to explain - but a real winner.

NYX Mega Shine Lip Gloss in Natural was somewhat of a flop for me. I like the formula, since it isn't sticky at all and is creamy on the lips. Unfortunately the colour of this gloss didn't suit my natural lip colour - but my mom loves it when I passed it on to her! I have been enjoying more long-wearing glosses lately - like my Buxom Lip Cream (possibly my holy grail gloss).

Sonia Kashuk Tinted Brow Gel can be tricky to apply with it's large wand so keep Q-tips nearby. This brow gel does the job of keeping brows in place and adding cool brown colour.

Covergirl Smoky Shadow Blast Shadow Stick in Flamed Out is apparently a close dupe for a Chanel cream eyeshadow stick (link)! It's very easy to apply and blend out, although it does settle into my crease after a few hours (nothing that a quick pat with your fingers can't fix). This was the only colour that appealed to me from the bunch.

You might be wondering why I picked up such a variety of makeup - I found myself without any makeup for a majority of the entire holiday season. These new products were tested in full, and as you read I had success with all but one!

Have you tried any of these products?
