Skincare Revamp

For starters, I have dry and sensitive skin. Although I've hinted at recent skin issues, overall I am not happy with my skincare routine and feel it is time for a revamp!

Two products are getting the boot from my rotation:

I first spoke about the Lancôme Crème Mousse Confort Comforting Creamy Foaming Cleanser back in November (see post here), and I was really enjoying it at first. However I noticed that despite it being a very soft and creamy cleanser, it leaves my face squeaky clean - no bueno. Also, it has a noticeable floral scent that I like but worry it will irritate my skin.

St. Ives Fresh Skin Apricot Scrub (link) is a very popular product but Caroline Hirons banned these rough exfoliants (walnut, apricot shells, etc)! I do find this scrub to be harsh on my face and I agree with Caroline that there are better alternatives.

Thoroughly perusing Caroline Hirons' website and other resources has led me to pick up a few tips that I am going to implement:
Avoid hot showers (lukewarm instead). This is also bad for hair.
Remove alcohol-based toners from my routine.
Add more omega 3 to my diet.
Avoid mineral oil.

I've also started to:
✓ Use a hydrating face mask (I recently tried the calming LUSH Rudolph mask).
✓ Use hyaluronic acid before my moisturizer twice a day.
✓ Stop using harsh exfoliating scrubs.

How is your skincare regimen working for you?
