First Impression | Seche Vite

I was so excited to finally see this on the shelves (at Rexall drugstores in Canada) - it is always sold out!

I must admit, the controversial health warnings make me a tiny bit concerned. From what I read, Seche Vite contains toluene which is dangerous in large amounts. Still, the small amounts found in nail polish should have no effect. In my opinion, there are plenty of everyday health detractors - even walking by someone with a cigarette could hurt my health.

Apart from all that, the novelty and promises of the "world's finest top coat" had me more excited than worried. I just painted over my manicure with Seche Vite and immediately noticed it has a different kind of smell - not any more or less offensive than normal top coat, just different.

As I write this, I've had my manicure (Covergirl Mojito Madness - check our twitter for a photo!) on for less than an hour. Seche Vite was super easy to apply, not super gloopy and dried quite fast. My nails feel very, very smooth. Obviously I'm not sure how Seche Vite will help my mani last, but here's hoping - I'll update you on Twitter!

Have you tried Seche Vite?
