These two "luminizers" fit into the same niche in a beauty routine. I use either of these products on the high points of my cheeks. I love that these highlighters both give a dewy look, as opposed to powder highlighters (such as Dior's Rose Diamond, see Katherine's review here).
My first experience with any sort of highlighter was Benefit's High Beam (0.45 oz, $32 at Sephora). I quickly figured out that you need the teeniest amount to get a shimmering and dewy look, just like Hard Candy's Glow All the Way Face and Body Luminizer in Doll Face Pink (2.7 oz, $8 at Walmart) - whew that's a mouthful!
I picked up Hard Candy's version because ultimately I wanted to see if it is a dupe of High Beam. Unfortunately for us drugstore lovers, it isn't a perfect match. As you can see in the above photo, Hard Candy's luminizer is much more pink and has large shimmer particles. Still, it gives a very similar look to the face and besides, it's a more cost-effective option!
Personally, I don't use either of these luminizers on my body (shoulders and décolleté), because I like a bronzed look there. For that purpose I will use a shimmering bronze product (want a review on my picks?).
