Katherine's August Favourites

August has been one of the busiest months for me and I've been reaching for some of my most reliable products.

1. I've been traveling a lot lately so my mini Simple Refreshing Cleanser has really been great.  The cleanser is specially formulated for sensitive skin (which I have) and doesn't irritate my skin at all. I've been using it morning and night and it really removes makeup well.

2. Elizabeth Arden Colour Intrigue Effects lipstick in the shade 14 Pink Pink Shimmer. I've actually written a whole review on the product here.

3. New favourite mascara of the month is my Clinique High Impact Mascara. I've been doing a lot of gardening this summer so the search for a full volume mascara that wouldn't smudge in the 35°C heat was one. The formula isn't water proof but it just stays on the lashes like a dream. No clumping of smudging all day long. Since it's not actually waterproof it comes of super easily with my eye makeup remover. I have the large sample size in 01 Black and I've been using it since june and it's still 3/4 full. I will definitely be going out to pick up the full size once i'm done with my sample.

4. Elizabeth Arden Visible Difference Gentle Hydrating Toner. Recently I've really been experimenting with various different toners looking for one that actually has noticeable results. As the name would suggest the Elizabeth Arden one has really been proving itself. I have normal to combination skin that is sometimes also quite sensitive. So the fact that it said "gently" right on the bottle is really what drew me to it. I apply it morning and night - just putting some on a cotton pad and rubbing it all over my face. The smell of the toner is very fresh and subtle - not perfumed at all. My skin has been a lot less dry and more glowing after introducing this toner into my skin care routine. It's a keeper!

5. Nails nails nails! This L'Oreal nail polish in Ragin' Cajun has been my favourite all summer. It goes great with pale skin and looked even better once I got a bit of colour. Whether on the fingers or the toes it just looks great. For a more in depth review check out my other blog post here.
