NUXE Rêve de Miel Ultra Nourishing Lip Balm | Review x 2

NUXE Rêve de Miel Ultra Nourishing Lip Balm: its a mouthful for a jar that fits in the palm of my hand, but boy, does this live up to its name!

Back in 2012, Estée (from essiebutton) held this NUXE product up as her new holy grail lip balm, replacing Blistex Lip Medex. I'm kicking myself for not finding this NUXE lip balm earlier. It overshadows my much loved Aveeno Essential Moisture Lip Conditioner, the fruity and smooth eos balms, and even good ol' Vaseline. For whatever reason, this past winter I found my lips super chapped and dry, with my Aveeno balm just not cutting it. I tried multiple "intensive" drugstore balms, finally settling on the Eucerin Aquaphor Lip Repair. In fact, I would recommend any and all of the lip balms I just mentioned - they all have worked for me but NUXE takes the cake.

The NUXE balm has almost no shine, unlike the Aveeno and Eucerin balms, making it better as a base layer under lipsticks or glosses.

NUXE states that this formula was tested in "extremely cold conditions in Canada", which I find pretty hilarious (and maybe that confirms Katherine and I as perfect testers).

Hey guys its Katherine! I also have a jar of this miracle "Dream of Honey", as the name states. First off, the smell of this lip balm is just heavenly. Like Erin, last year I was searching for a balm that would seriously moisturize my lips, to avoid chapped lips at all costs. Lisa Eldridge, the makeup artist that I look up to most, made a French Pharmacie video that I just loved. I watched it because I was traveling to France in the summer and wanted to pick up a couple products to try out. It was this video that got me hooked on makeup/skin care and addicted to Youtube.

To sum everything up, this is a great lip balm: a little more expensive but I've been using the jar in the picture for almost 11 months and it's still going strong.

Have you tried any other NUXE products?
