A couple of times a year, the Bobbi Brown counter at my mall does a free makeup tutorial. You can sign up and they give you a free makeover. It just so happened that I was in the mall on that day and I got my makeup done for the first time by a professional.
The makeup artist used the Bobbi Brown High Shimmer lipgloss in the shade Pink Tulle on me that day. The first thing that I noticed about this product is the smell! It's minty, similar to those C.O Bigelow Mentha Lip Shine glosses from Bath and Body Works that we all had in high school.
The coverage of this gloss is pretty sheer - I tend to use it on top of other lipsticks as a nice shimmery finish. One coat of the gloss will leave your lips feeling really fresh because of the mint. The formulation of the gloss is nice and smooth, it glides over the lips nicely but I do find if you wear it for an extended period of time and put on a couple layers it can get a bit sticky. I would advice one layer at a time and only reapply when the previous layer is gone.
This gloss is a high-end product therefore retailing for $28 at Sephora. Overall, I think it's a nice gloss that does its job well and I will use it up happily, but if you are looking for a more opaque gloss then this is not the one for you. For a bit of sheer shimmery coverage this gloss delivers.
Have you used the Bobbi Brown Shimmer glosses? What did you think?
